FeCrAl Alloy Resistance Wire - Product Details

FeCrAl alloy wire (Iron-Chromium-Aluminum) is a high-resistance heating material widely used in electric heating elements for industrial furnaces, household appliances, and high-temperature applications. It offers excellent oxidation resistance, high resistivity, and long service life at temperatures up to 1400°C.

Cr20Ni80, Cr30Ni70, Cr15Ni60, Cr20Ni35, Cr20Ni30, Cr20Ni25, NiCr25FeAlY, Cr13Al4, Cr21Al4, Cr14Al4, Cr20Al4, Cr21Al6, Cr23Al5, Cr25Al5, Cr21Al6Nb, Cr25Al5SE.

4) Alloy character:

Ferritic alloys allow to reach process temperatures of 2192 to 2282F,
Corresponding to a resistance temperature of 2372F. All ferritic alloys have approximatively the same basis composition: 20 to 25 % of chromium, 4.5 to 6 % of aluminium, balance being iron. Some of them contain in addition rare earth, as yttrium or silicium. Those alloys having a ferritic structure, we observe, after a maintenance at high operating temperature, an important growth of the grain and a precipitation of chromium carbides at the grain joints level. This induces an increased embrittlement of the resistance, especially when it is come again at ambient temperature.
